Rev. Scott Carrier

Rev. Scott Carrier

Pastor

Pastor Scott Carrier has been the pastor of Bethel Baptist Church since April 2005. He is married to Gloria Wheelock Carrier and they have three children. Their oldest son is a policeman and the youngest son works in New York City. Their daughter, Misty, was called home to be with the Lord at twenty-one years of age while attending Crown College, studying to become a missionary. They have two grandchildren and one is at Crown College studying to be a missionary.

Pastor Carrier and his wife were born and raised in East Tennessee. Prior to entering the ministry he completed an apprenticeship at Tennessee Eastman Company and was an industrial mechanic (welder, pipe fitter, sheet metal worker). During this time, he and his wife attended Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church.

Called by God to the mission field, Pastor Carrier and his wife attended and graduated from Baptist Bible College to prepare for the ministry. Pastor Carrier served his internship at Bethel Baptist Church, Grapevine, Texas, where he was associate pastor and youth director. He and his wife were missionaries in Papua New Guinea for thirty years.

Pastor Carrier has a BA degree and his wife, Gloria, a Th.D. degree from Baptist Bible College.

Chris Evans

Chris Evans

Youth Director

Chris and HyunAe Evans have had the opportunity and the privilege of serving in the teen ministry beginning July of 2016. Chris and HyunAe have been married since January 17, 2004, and have 2 blessings from God: a son by the name of Isaac, and a daughter by the name of Joanna.

Chris was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama while HyunAe was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea.

They realize the truth that it is by God’s grace that the opportunity to serve the Lord has been opened to them. This service is a gift from God that allows Chris and Hyunae to serve the youth and our Lord. They are by no means perfect and they have a good deal to learn. But they also realize that God makes no mistakes, and He will teach and equip them to serve the ministry with a full and sincere heart.

Both Chris and HyunAe are grateful for the opportunity to serve Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
